One day we went to Wekiwa State Park and canoed the river. We did it when we were in FL for Jill's 30th birthday and thought it would be fun to take Eli on his first canoe trip. We did not see as much wildlife this time because the river was crowded, but we did see two alligators near the end of the trip and a few cool birds.
We got sandwiches from Publix and picnicked at the park.

At the end of the trip Eli sprang for ice cream.

mmmm, Publix subs! good stuff. your post makes me miss college and the chance to see Gators when out canoeing. looks like you guys had fun! glad to see eli had sun protection, hope he didn't have to row too hard.
