9 Months

(Andrea's 3rd post :o) )

Last Thursday Eli turned 9 months old. I can't believe how fast he is growing up! He also had his 9 month check-up, here are his stats:
Weight: 20 lbs. 5 oz. (50th percentile)
Length: 28.5 inches (50th percentile)

Head Circumfe
rence: 18.5 inches (90th percentile!)

Hi!
(He hasn't mastered waving yet, but this pic sure makes it looks like he has!)

Playing with a new toy!

We recently got a child carrier backpack at REI. Most of you know that we love that store. :) We had enough dividend money and a gift card that the backpack only cost us $1.80! And we've already used it twice. Eli seems to enjoy it too!

He loves to look around and see new things.

He's even tested out how it does with napping.

Thanks for the ride, Daddy!

Fun Faces & A Wedding

This is a video I made of some new and old pics of Eli's faces.

On April 18, our friends Sam and Angela got married, it was Eli's first wedding. The wedding was in Charlotte and was a lot of fun. We always have a good time when Andrea's college friends all get together. After the wedding and reception we all hung out a little longer in Charlotte.

Bride and Groom.

Eli was very hungry, we got this pic just in time!

They could be twins!

Leave it to Andrea's college friends
to put the perfect touch on a picture.

Sam and Angela may have regretted the bird seed in the end,
they got pelted!! People were not lobbing it over their
heads they were being bombarded!

Fun around the house

Here are some fun videos and pictures from around the house. The first video is of Eli eating avocado for the first time. I am not sure, but I don't think he liked it. He is such a good baby though that he keeps opening his mouth for more!

Andrea took these pics of Eli and I playing on the couch. I really like all of them and couldn't weed any out so here they all are.

We took this video the night it sounded like Eli said "doggie". I am sure two babbles just got put together but he distinctly said "daa-gee" twice in a row. In the video you can here the "gee" part. Be warned we say "doggie" a lot! He babbles all the time now and we have heard "da da da" (Like the VW commercial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faaD-XfBehY ), "ma", "baa", "gee", and lots of tongue/lip rolling noises, it is a lot of fun!

Easter

For Easter this year we went to Durham after a local church service. It was a quick trip but a lot of fun. Eli loved the "new" toys from Grandma's toy box!

Cute pic the day before Easter.

Can you see his two bottom teeth?

Grandma and Eli on Easter.

Grandpa and Eli on Easter.

Eli and his "Easter Basket". It was nice of the Easter Bunny
to come to Durham because he didn't even
think about coming to Troutman.....

Our first Easter as a threesome.

Eli loves this hammer. We went to Durham this past
Sunday and he would not let it go then either.

Hammering away.

This is a video of Eli playing with the hammer!
It is long but good.

Eli, Andrea, and Laura, with Emma on the way!!!
