Hi.

Costumes & Trick or Treating

Eli and Emmett wanted to be police officers for Halloween and Mama made it happen.  Instead of going out and buying an already made set she was able to create her own costumes.  She did a great job!!  Some dollar store toys, glow in the dark letters, cheap hats and presto - POLICE OFFICERS.  Simon was a giraffe and he was cute as well.

After we carved our pumpkin we put the boys in their costumes as a test run....

Simon was kind enough to take a nap during the costume test run!  It looks like he is sleeping hard!!!

I was on nights for Halloween night so I did not get to go Trick or Treating but they boys and Mama had fun!!  They went to the house of some people from small group and went out in their neighborhood.  They have three little ones too so it was a good time!

Pumpkin Carving

The day before Halloween we carved our Jack-o-Lantern.  We tried to carve all three but we only got through one of them..... it was a lot of work for some reason :-)  As usual Mama did a great job!  Always a fun time.

Mama and the boys... this was safer than it looks in the picture :-)

Wacky Tacky

On Sunday nights Eli goes to Awana Cubbies.  This is an awesome program at church and he loves going to it.  One night was Wacky Tacky night and Eli was rockin' it out!!!  The funny part was that only a few people (like four!!!) remembered it was Wacky Tacky night so Eli was a standout..... but since he remembered he got to be the line leader :-)  Wacky Tacky night was re-done the next week for those less prepared....

Hayride & Pumpkin Patch

Our church has a home school co-op but we couldn't join this year but Andrea found out that the field trips are open to everyone so we jumped at the chance to go on a hayride/pumpkin patch trip.  The farm was just a few miles away and we have some friends in the group so it was a fun trip.  There was a hayride, corn maze, swings, play structures made out of hay bales and lots of animals.  We had a blast, the boys especially liked running around and playing in the corn maze!!  We also took a picnic and after we were done got to pick pumpkins.

Hayride!

Eli picked some corn from the maze and fed it to the goats.

Renewed!

Some of our friends from the Eno had a very awesome 10th anniversary!!!  Their lives were transformed in the last year or so.  They realized their position in Christ and experienced His true grace and it rocked their worlds.  They had been in church but this experience changed them.  As a testimony to their new faith on their 10th anniversary they renewed their vows in the light of their new lives.  They also gave their testimony to all present.  This was an amazing show of faith!!!  They also left for a second honeymoon..... which I am sure was nice too.

Dada and Simon.
After the ceremony there was a reception nearby.  There were snacks and dancing and it was a lot of fun.  Dada even danced.... that is a rarity, but I felt I needed to be a good example to the boys....

Legos

Legos are very popular at our house with both Eli and Emmett.  Eli is very talented with them.  He can copy pictures off of the box that the Legos came in and he can follow the directions for putting them together with very little help.  He can't lock in some of the smaller pieces but he can find them and show you exactly where they go!!!

Eli displaying his masterpiece.

The thumbs up has become poplar.
