Road Trip

As I may have mentioned the boys are very imaginative!  In this picture they loaded up the car and headed to the zoo.  Apparently Eli was "Jason", Emmett was "Andrea" and all of the toys were the kids...... Not only is this couch car loaded down but it has two steering wheels :-)

Auntie Jill bought Simon a "Little Brother" shirt and Eli and Emmett "Big Brother" shirts before Simon was even here.  Andrea had a little photo shoot with the boys and here are two pretty good ones.

Grandpa Gwinn Meets Simon

In early October Grandma & Grandpa Gwinn came to visit.  Grandpa got to meet Simon and they also got to go to one of Eli's soccer games!

Knock You Over

One of the things we do frequently at our house is play rough.  One of the games we like to play is "Knock You Over".  Here is a little taste of some of the fun we have!

Hertford...

Towards the end of September we took a long day trip to see the Renfrows in their rental in Hertford.  It was a long day but super fun.  We played in the yard, walked to a playground, watched Rio, played in the house and loved on some cousins.

Mama and the boys did a fun craft from the most recent issue of High Five magazine!  They turned toilet paper rolls and a paper towel roll into MONSTERS!  The boys had a blast making them and they still get played with today.  I am not captioning the pictures below because the boys faces speak for themselves!!!

Purple Dragons

Eli's soccer team got jerseys and decided to name themselves the "Purple Dragons".  Here are some more soccer pics.  Eli really likes to wear his jersey, shin guards and his cleats!

Pullen Park

The day after our trip to Falls Lake we met Alison, Wyatt, Claire and Paige at Pullen Park in Raleigh.  It was our first trip since it had been renovated and it is SUPER COOL!!  The facilities are very modern and they have all kinds of different play areas, a train, carousel, boat rides and many other fun things!  We look forward to going back!

Falls Lake

In mid September we strolled over to Falls Lake for a morning of fun.  We took Simon for his first hike and he loved it!!  Like so many things this hiking trip was different than all the others.  Eli had to walk, I got Emmett and the new backpack and Mama carried Simon.  Eli did great walking and we all enjoyed it.

After our hike we finally christened Eli's fishing pole by drowning a few worms.  We fished on the pier and actually caught a few small sunfish!  It was a very successful trip!!!

Emmett & Baby Simon

Soccer!!!

This fall Eli got to play soccer with the YMCA and he seemed to enjoy it!!  These pics are from the first day of practice.  Eli was not the most athletic of the group but he was one of the most social :-)  Eli liked to hang out around the coach as much as he liked to chase the ball!  We enjoyed meeting the other families and hope to do more sports/activities soon!!
