Last of FL Trip

These are the last pics from FL. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed being with my family. We also saw a bunch of Jill's friends. The drive home was better than the drive down and Eli did great!

I do not know who was more amused
Gabe, Eli, or those watching Gabe!

Eli chewing on his sun.

He loves his monkey too!

Batter Blaster

One of the coolest things from the FL trip was the free thing of "Batter Blaster" in the refrigerator. Think pancake batter in cheese whiz form, it was AWESOME!!!! The craziest thing about it is that it is organic. Not very "green" packaging but organic. We enjoyed it very much and the pancakes weren't that bad! We have since seen it at our BJ's.

Me and the Blaster!

Get ready.....

AWESOME!!!!!

Lazy Afternoon

One afternoon we hung out under an oak tree in front of one of the ponds at the timeshare. It was a lot of fun and very relaxing. We just played with Eli, took pictures, and watched birds.

Eli and mommy under a tree.

Cute face.

Excited.

Playing with his fun toys.

Looking around.

Gimme' that.

He has a good grip!

Learning his birds early.

The fam.

One of the birds we watched throughout
the afternoon, a Tri colored Heron.

First Swim

In FL we took Eli for his first swim. We all got into the kiddie pool and Eli seemed to like it. His reaction was actually pretty funny. I think it was the combination of the warm water and the sound from the splashing water in the pool but he almost fell asleep!

Eli and I ready to swim.

In the water.

Looking like he likes it.

When I first held him like this he put his
face in the water like he was laying down!

Almost asleep.

Cute Pics from FL

We are headed to a wedding this afternoon but I wanted to get in a quick post before we left. So, here are a few cute pics from FL. I had been hoping to get vacation onto the blog sooner but it just has not happened. We also have some fun videos from Easter weekend. It seems like Eli is growing even faster now! He is now banging toys together, has TWO teeth, and maybe..... said his first word!!

Eli and Grandma playing on the porch.

Eli playing with Jill's tickely hair.

Pops getting in on the action!

Two toys one hand!

Andrea, Eli, and Grandpa at a cookout.

Whats going on in there? (he did not pull himself up my dad helped)

"The Thinker" - we are convinced he will supply our early retirement!

Florida Vacation

Last week we were in Orlando, FL on vacation with my family. My parents have a time share in Orlando and that's where my sister lives also. It was a fun week with the whole family together, a Gwinn family reunion, of sorts.... me, Andrea, Eli, Jill, my mom and dad, and Pops... the WHOLE Family!! (In contrast Andrea has 34 first cousins!!!)

One day we went to Wekiwa State Park and canoed the river. We did it when we were in FL for Jill's 30th birthday and thought it would be fun to take Eli on his first canoe trip. We did not see as much wildlife this time because the river was crowded, but we did see two alligators near the end of the trip and a few cool birds.

We got sandwiches from Publix and picnicked at the park.

A turtle basking.

Eli watching daddy paddle.

The crew headed down the river.

Eli helping mommy paddle. Don't be fooled she
spend most of the time taking care of Eli and riding!

Close up of alligator.

If you look closely the above alligator
is in the duck weed directly off the bow.

At the end of the trip Eli sprang for ice cream.

Grandpa didn't even share :-)

We have many other fun pics from vacation to be posted over the coming days/weeks. Stay tuned for fun pictures and exciting adventures!

Baby Shower

I mentioned that we helped throw a baby shower for our friends a few weeks ago, and here are the pics. We had a lot of fun and saw some friends we have not seen in a while. It was a co-ed shower with a good turn out. One of the coolest things we found was that the church building, where we held the shower, had a Wii!! I had never played Wii before and it was awesome!

Russ and I grilling in the rain.

Father and Mother to be.

Laura reading a baby book.

Overview of the festivities.

I love this pic! Someone said something funny,
or they got a GOOD gift!

We are all excited to meet baby Emma!

Apparently Emma will be born with a silver spoon in her mouth.

The mom-to-be and the three hostesses.

Post party we went to the Scheffers' and played Settlers!
As always it was awesome!
